GRAND OPENING WEEK CELEBRATION

Help us celebrate our official Grand Opening.  Special events are planned all week long:

BATTLE ARENA

A powerful alien race has plucked potent fighters from distant times and universes to fight for their amusement in the arena.  Please the emporer in the gladitorial style fighting to win the day! 

Buy, build, and paint any leader unit for Warhammer 40k or Fantasy, and compete for fun and prizes in the arena (yes we will actually have an arena)!  Our local experts will be on hand to assist with building and painting questions and to adjudicate the main event.

Entry: Free

Prizes: A $10 Gift Certificate for The Connection (winner to be determined by the Emporer).

Try to arrive early to assure you are ready for the arena - the "official" arena battle will start at 3pm.

FORMAT: Lorwyn/Morningtide Sealed Deck (Lorwyn Tournament Pack, 3 Boosters Morningtide)
FEE: $TBA (Canadian dollar in flux) per player
Registration opens 8:45. Flights start at 9:00am. We will run 32 player flights as they continue to fill (typically 4-5 morning flights) Includes special promotional foil card while supplies last.

FORMAT: Lorwyn/Morningtide Sealed Deck (Lorwyn Tournament Pack, 5 Boosters Morningtide)
FEE: $TBA (Canadian dollar in flux)
Registration opens 1:30. Event starts at 2:30. Includes special promotional foil card for each player while supplies last.

FORMAT: Open Duelling (Random Morningtide Preconstructed deck)
FEE: $15 per player
No schedule; available all day 9am - 9pm. Includes special promotional foil card while supplies last.

FORMAT: Booster Drafts(Morningtide x3)
FEE: $18 per player Prize payouts 5-3-2-2 - single elimination
Booster drafts will ONLY be available from 12-2 and 4-9pm Saturday.
Sunday schedule TBA.
The idea is that booster drafts are a complement to the main event, and booster draft signups will be 'paused' while staff take registration for 2HG and afternoon flights.

For the weekend, additional sealed deck flights beyond the first will be $25. (IE: Participate in sealed deck or 2HG on Saturday, play on Sunday for $25)

Prizes will be awarded to players finishing with an X-1-1 or better record.

World of Warcraft - Constructed

This is a Battlegrounds Hobby League event with extended art prize cards.  NOTE: March of the Legion cards ARE legal for this event. 

Entry Fee: $5

Prizes: Extended art prize cards for the top 4 and booster packs for top 2 (if we have 8 or less people) or top 4 (if we have 9 or more).

Format: Constructed deck

There are only a few rules you need to follow when building your deck:

❂ Your deck must include at least 60 cards, not counting your starting hero. Your hero starts the game in play, and it isn’t considered a part of your deck.

❂ You can’t include more than four copies of a single card in your deck unless that card has “unlimited” in its type line. You may include any number of unlimited cards in your deck.
