We have an official Pokemon League - come join us for some Pokemon fun.

This month we are using the unlimited format - meaning you can use cards from any Pokemon set.  Bring your own 60 card deck containing any amount of basic energy cards and up to 4 copies each of any other card from any set.  (We have pre-constructed decks for sale in the store if you don't have a deck.) Play different opponents and earn points - 10 points per game with 10 bonus points if you win. Earn enough points to get prizes! This is casual / league play - it is not a sanctioned tournament and will not earn you any ratings points.  For more information on league play - please refer to the Pokemon-TCG web-site.

Entry fee: Free!!!

Prizes: Based on your point totals - the more you play, the more you get. For example at 110 points you earn a special 2-3 card booster pack. You don't have to get all 110 points on the same day - come back each week and keep adding to your point total.

League play on Sunday from approximately Noon till 3:00pm.  League play is casual - you can arrive late, get in a few games and leave early if needed.  Most players tend to show up around 1pm.  Due to other events starting on Sunday afternoon around 4pm, we ask players to make room if needed (i.e., if you are still playing when the other event is supposed to start - please allow the other game to begin).

World of Warcraft - Constructed

This is a Battlegrounds Hobby League event.

Entry Fee: $5

Prizes: Extended art prize cards for the top 4 and
booster packs for top 2 (if we have 8 or less people) or top 4 (if we
have 9 or more).

Format: Constructed deck

Your deck must include at least 60 cards, not counting your starting hero. Your hero starts the game in play, and it isn’t considered a part of your deck.

You can’t include more than four copies of a single card in your deck unless that card has “unlimited” in its type line. You may include any number of unlimited cards in your deck.

Some ability cards can only be used by a hero who has a certain talent spec. Those cards will have “[Talent Spec] Hero Required” in bold in their text box.

You can include only cards that share one or more trait icons with your hero in your deck. Some neutral cards don’t have any trait icons. You can put those cards into any deck.

For additional rules - refer to the Upper Deck Web Site.

Pokemon League Play

Start: 1:45 pm
End: 5:00 pm

The prize pool consists of champion or tournament packs while supplies last, or boosters of the most recent set we have in stock. Size of the pool depends on the number of players in the event (generally 1 pack per player in the tournament). Prize pool is split between the top 2 (9 or less people), or top 4 (10 or more people). The winner gets at least 50% of the prize pool.

Additional prizes are given away at the last tournament of the month based on total match wins for the month (and if that is tied - number of events played will be used). Draft price of $15.00. ($5 if you bring your own packs.)  We put one booster pack into the prize pool for each person in the draft.

  • 1st place: Foil prize card, 70% of prize pool (approximate)
  • 2nd place: Foil prize  card, 30% of prize pool (approximate)
  • 2 randmon door prizes of foil prize cards

NOTE: If we have 14 or more people in the draft, we will split into 2 pods with prize split for the top 2 in each pod.

If you're not sure how to draft, come in early or on another day and we'll be happy to explain it to you.  In a nutshell - you get 3 booster packs, open your pack, pick a card, and pass it to the person next to you.  You continue picking and passing until you have 45 cards which you keep.  You build a minimum 40 card deck from the cards you selected - the store provides the basic lands (please remember to return them at the end of the night).  Then we play a small tournament to determine the winner.

These are DCI sanctioned events.  Straight swiss - no cut.

Pokemon League Play

End: 6:00 pm

Casual World of Warcraft TCG Night!

ghost kitty

Format: Open Gaming, Raids, Two-Headed Ogres, constructed Gurubashi Grand Melees, Trading and other shinnanigans.

The idea: WoW is actually a lot of fun to play casually since it has a lot of fantasy elements and adventuring elements in it. In that vein We've set up an evening (with new later hours) where you can come and play for fun instead of standings. Bring down a min 60 card deck . Theme Decks and Raid decks are definetely the way to go so bring on that Stalling/Control//Healer because Rida's Paladin could use some help.

Price: Free admittance (Sealed events not withstanding)

Check out our Forums here for more information and to meet the other players.

Start: 5:00 pm
End: 9:00 pm
