Magic the Gathering - Alara Reborn Launch Party

Main Event Format: Sealed - 3 packs of Shards of Alara, and 3 packs of Alara Reborn.

Price: $32.50

Prize Support: Participation foils (Knight of New Alara) for each player while supplies last, and 2 booster packs per person into the prize pool, divided among the top finishers.

This is intended to be a fun casual event.  If there is desire, we will also run side drafts (space permitting), and open dueling.

Please note the start time for the main event = Noon.

The Hordes Schizm!

 

Bring your 750-point force to the Hordes Metamorphosis: Schism event
and pit your strength one–on-one against any and all who will answer
the call. Stay standing the longest and earn the title: Champion.
Capture or defend the most flags and become Conquerer. Or score the
most cumulative victory points, and revel in being the Survivor.

Will you OVERCOME or be OVERRUN?

Schism Event Details:

  • The event will last 1 day, approximately 8 hours(we will open the doors at 11am), and will last
    between 4-6 rounds (depending on number of players, how fast your games
    run, etc)
  • Bring three different army lists (750 points each). Characters
    cannot be repeated. (ex. If you list Eiryss in list A, she cannot be
    used in lists B or C).
  • Players will play in multiple rounds throughout the day, accumulating points to try to attain the following goals:

Champion

The Champion medal goes to
the player with the most consecutive wins as defender. In the case of a
tie, the player with more total VPs earned is the champion.

Conqueror

The Conqueror medal goes
to the player with the highest flag count at the end of the day
(counting the flags captured as well as the flags defended). If there
is tie for most flags, the player with more total VPs earned is the
Conqueror.

Survivor

The Survivor medal goes to
the player with the most Survivor VPs. In the case of a tie, the player
with more total VPs earned is the Survivor.
