The First shattered grounds league of 2010
"Nightfall" takes place in the northern expanse of the sharde islands comprising Garlghast island and the smaller neighboring islands across the Dying Strands. It is a region fully embraced by Toruk's blight, where even pirates and traders begin to feel the dragon's taint after any degree of regular exposure.
Info: The Shattered Grounds League introduces new concepts into league play. The online League Map makes each of your battles count towards your faction controlling key parts of the areas we are fighting over. The Battle Journal is a personalized war journal for you to keep track of your Commendations throughout the 2010 year. Stratagems are abilities unlocked by earning Commendations in league play and are available for all sorts of things. Lastly, Season Models replace regular units in your armies with characterful special units with unique abilities related to each league.
Dates: The Nightfall League will run from April 6th until April 27th and games may be played any day of the week as long as there is room. On days other than Warmachine days (Saturdays) please call ahead to make sure we have room for you and definitely organize your opponents before coming down.
Rules: Please read and familiarize yourself with the league rules and special rules! >>link to the rules<<
League organizer: Rida Vanderkam is the league organizer and if you have any questions please feel free to PM him or email him at "his name"@tcgaa.ca. Since he will also be playing in the league Lucas Smith will be helping with rules questions and will be the final word on rules questions.

Draft price of $15.00. ($5 if you bring your own packs.) We put $5 of store credit into the prize pool for each person in the draft.
- 1st place: Foil prize card, 50% of prize pool
- 2nd place: Foil prize card, 30% of prize pool
- 3rd and 4th place: 10% each of the prize pool
- 2 randmon door prizes of foil prize cards
NOTE: If we have 14 or more people in the draft, we will split into 2 pods. Wizards Event Reporter will be used to determine final standings after the swiss rounds.
If you're not sure how to draft, come in early or on another day and we'll be happy to explain it to you. In a nutshell - you get 3 booster packs, open your pack, pick a card, and pass it to the person next to you. You continue picking and passing until you have 45 cards which you keep. You build a minimum 40 card deck from the cards you selected - the store provides the basic lands (please remember to return them at the end of the night). Then we play a small tournament to determine the winner.
These are DCI sanctioned events. Straight swiss - no cut.

Dungeons & Dragons
Living Forgotten Realms (LFR) Tables. We usually have 1 or 2 tables going. If you're interested in playing in an LFR adventure - check out the details on the Wizards web-site.
We are also running on-going campaign(s). We usually have some drop in spots available, and you can get caught up on where we are at here. If you're new to the game, it's ok to come by and watch. When you are ready you can jump in to an open spot. We recommend that new players try to at least read the sections of the Player's Handbook relevant to their character and general combat prior to their first game.
We take sign-ups to reserve spots at these tables - send an e-mail to info@tcgaa.ca to ask about spots for a given week and to get addded to our weekly e-mail update list.
