Legend of the Five Rings: Solving the Riddle Tournament
Another event for the fastest growing Legend of the Five Rings player base in North America!
A Global Charity Storyline Event (From AEG's Forum)
In May 2008 and July 2009, L5R players raised approximately $12,000 for the fight against pancreatic cancer in the first two Solving the Riddle Global Charity Events. This September, we will once again have the chance to demonstrate our dedication to helping others by raising donations to fund pancreatic cancer research and patient support. Once more, players from all nine Clans of Rokugan will unite to help Solve the Riddle of this scourge – and earn points for their clan in the Empire’s Glory mega-game!
All proceeds from Solving the Riddle will benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (http://www.pancan.org). The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is a non-profit organization committed to a comprehensive approach to fighting pancreatic cancer. The organization funds direct research grants, advocates for additional research funding from governmental organizations, produces educational and awareness raising programs, and provides direct support to patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Physical Prizes: The winning player at each event will receive an exclusive custom prize created just for this Global Charity Storyline Event.
Storyline Prize: Mega-game: Honor points will be awarded for Solving the Riddle in a similar fashion to the Koku Drive and the Attendance Contest. The Clan with the highest total value will gain 9 Honor points. The Clan with the second-most donations with gain 8 Honor points. And so on down, until the Clan with the fewest donations will receive 1 Honor point. These points must be kept for the Clan.
Storyline Prize: A card in a future set: The donations brought in by each individual tournament will be separately totaled, and it will be determined which tournament brought in the highest value of donations. The player who won that CCG tournament will receive a WC-style Personality with an appropriate keyword.
