Format: Advanced Constructed. Please refer to YuGiOh-card.com for a list of limited and forbidden cards.

Entry: $5 - Each player receives a turbo pack or duelist pack with entry. *32 player maximum. First come, first serve.

Prizes: Turbo Packs (when available), booster packs of recent sets, and/or store credit are awarded to the top 4 players after the swiss rounds. The number of rounds will depend on the number of players per:

4-8: 3 rounds
9-16: 4 rounds
17-32: 5 rounds
33+: 6 rounds

These are sanctioned Konami events, so please remember to bring your COSSY Id card. If you do not have a COSSY Id card yet, we can assign one to you at the event. Please arrive before 5pm so we can start on time.

Friday Night Magic - Renfrew

Format: Booster Draft (for the Month of May, then we return to Standard)

Draft price of $15.00. ($5 if you bring your own packs.) We put $5 of store credit into the prize pool for each person in the draft.

1st place: Foil prize card, 50% of prize pool
2nd place: Foil prize card, 30% of prize pool
3rd and 4th place: 10% each of the prize pool
2 randmon door prizes of foil prize cards

NOTE: If we have 14 or more people in the draft, we will split into 2 pods. Wizards Event Reporter will be used to determine final standings after the swiss rounds.

If you're not sure how to draft, come in early or on another day and we'll be happy to explain it to you. In a nutshell - you get 3 booster packs, open your pack, pick a card, and pass it to the person next to you. You continue picking and passing until you have 45 cards which you keep. You build a minimum 40 card deck from the cards you selected - the store provides the basic lands (please remember to return them at the end of the night). Then we play a small tournament to determine the winner.

These are DCI sanctioned events. Straight swiss - no cut.

Magic League! - Avacyn Restored SealedT

This month's league is Avacyn Restored Sealed. The entry fee for the league is $28. Each participant receives 6 booster packs of Avacyn Restored and builds a 40 card minimum deck using the cards he opens and basic lands that we provide. Each week, each player is given an addition booster pack, covered by his entry fee, to suppliment his sealed pool (for a total of 9 boosters at the end of the league).

For every five games you play against other players in the league (win or lose), you get an addition entry into a raffle draw at the end of the league. Prizes include promo cards and discount coupons for Magic the Gathering products.

League games and league signups can be done on Tuesday and Friday evenings.

Pokémon League Play

We have an official Pokemon League - come join us for some Pokemon fun.

We use the unlimited format - meaning you can use cards from any Pokemon set. Bring your own 60 card deck containing any amount of basic energy cards and up to 4 copies each of any other card from any set. (We have pre-constructed decks for sale in the store if you don't have a deck.) Play different opponents and earn stamps - one stamp per game. Earn enough stamps to get great prizes! This is casual / league play - it is not a sanctioned tournament and will not earn you any ratings points. For more information on league play - please refer to the Pokemon-TCG web-site.

Entry fee: Free!!!

Prizes: Earn stamps to get great promo cards and other prizes from time to time.

League play on Sunday runs from approximately Noon till 3:00pm. League play is casual - you can arrive late, get in a few games and leave early if needed. Most players tend to show up around 1pm. We often run sanctioned tournaments on Sunday during or after the league if there is enough interest. Tournaments have an entry fee and booster pack prizes - all participants receive some form of prize.
