Move Update

The push is on, we're nearing completion of the renovations in our new location.  Hopefully we'll get in there to paint early next week.  Not sure yet exactly when we'll get the doors open - it depends a little on the city giving us an occupancy permit.  But it's full speed ahead.

This is our last week at Granville - we will be open for business this Saturday and Sunday, but closed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week.

If you're interested in volunteering with the physical move or painting - please send an e-mail to info(at)tcgaa.ca. We'll be organizing work parties on Friday - and we will contact you via e-mail if we need your help.

Thanks to everyone that has supported us so far - hopefully we'll see you all at the new location.  In case you missed it - our new address is 8136 Cambie St.  Phone number will be the same.

The Connection Games on Granville is moving - our new location will be at 8136 Cambie St (near the Cambie and SW Marine Drive Canada Line stop).  We've agreed to lease 2 spaces side by side - doubling our space plus more from our existing location.  Our move date is tentatively set for June 30, but we may try to move earlier if we can manage it.

We'd rather sell it than move it sale is going on now, and will continue throughout May (at the Granville location only).  Our Spring Cleaning sale is still on at Renfrew until Saturday May 8th.

Exciting news!  We've re-vamped the web-site (a little bit).  Check out our new forums - they're actually usable now .  We'll hopefully make a few more changes next month (watch out for subsrcibable newsletters).  Hopefully the colour changes we've made will make the site easier on your eyes.

November 12th, 2007

We have 3 special events planned that I wanted to let people know about:

1. Star Wars Minis - Force Unleashed release event.  This Saturday November 17th at 3pm at The Connection Games on Granville (8283 Granville St.)  This will be a 150 point sealed event (with huge figs).  Entry fee is $50, for which you will receive 2 boosters of the new set from which to build your force.  Please bring maps if you have them.  Great prizes and lots of fun to be had by all.
2. The Spoils Seed: Children of Lingamorph pre-release event.  Saturday November 24th at 1pm at The Connection Victoria Dr (in the basement of POW! Comics).  This will be a sealed event - you get a competition pack and boosters from which to build your deck.  Entry fee $25.
3. Pokemon - unlimited tournament with official prize support.  At The Connection on Granville St. on Sunday December 2nd - immediately following our Hobby League at 3pm.  Entry fee is $5 - everyone that enters gets at least a booster pack.

Also wanted to let everyone know that we are getting close with the new location - should have the doors open some time this weekend - I'll put up a post as soon as we are "officially" open for business.
