News

• Comics & Graphic Novels pre-orders now available at The Connection Games on Granville St.  Don't want to miss out on the latest issue of you're favourite series, come in and get your name on the list.  Subscribers receive volume based discounts, so come in and talk to Brendon about getting yourself set up.
• Yu-Gi-Oh! Players - we have Champion Pack 8 in-stock which we will be using as prize support for our weekly Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments at both stores.  We also have a limited number of Yu-Gi-Oh! playmats available which we will be drawing for (1 per month) at the last event of each month.  Each time you play in one of our weekly events, your name is entered into the draw - so the more you play, the more entries you receive.
• The name of this fall's new Magic the Gathering Set has been announced - Zendikar will be released on Oct 2nd.
• The next Pokemon Set, Platinum - Rising Rivals has been accounced.  The new set will be in stores May 20th, in time for Nationals, but not in time for Regionals.  Pokemon Regionals is on April 18th at the Sheraton Guildford Hotel in Surrey.
• Speaking of Pokemon - we raised $115 locally in our first fund raiser.  So, we'll be doing it again in preparation for Regionals.  The April fund-raiser is on Sunday the 5th after our Hobby League. Check out the total raised so far and the great work being done across the country on the Pokegym thread.
• FREE COMIC BOOK DAY - MAY 2nd.  This will be our first free comic book day at the Granville location, and of course we will be doing it at Victoria Dr as well.  Come and get your free comics while supplies last.
• A deal to save Heroclix may be announced soon involving a new company formed explicitly to take on the product. If so, new releases could be expected later this year.
