Magic the Gathering Core Set 2011 Pre-Release

Format: Sealed - each player will be given 6 packs of the new set from which to build a deck of minimum 40 cards (basic lands will be provided).  This is a great fun way for new and experienced players alike to try out the new cards.  When deck contstruction is complete, a tournament will be played - using swiss pairing - which simply means you will play in every round win or lose.  The number of rounds will depend on attendance:

• 8 players - 3 rounds
• 9-16 players - 4 rounds
• 17-32 players - 5 rounds
• 33+ players - 6 rounds

Price: $32.50 (Subject to change without notice)

Prizes:  At least 2 booster packs per person into the prize pool, and everyone with a 3-1-1 (3 wins, 1 loss, 1 tie) or better record will win at least one pack.  Additional door prizes will be handed out throughout the day.

Registration will begin at 11am, and packs will start to be handed out at 11:30am.  Last minute registration will close at Noon, and the tournament will begin at 12:15.
