With the tribal theme of Lorwyn Block and Lord of Atlantis' printing in Time Spiral, Merfolk became a popular Standard deck in 2008. Most lists were Blue with a spash of White for sideboard cards, but Jakob Jahoda took Merrow Reejerey and friends and put together Full Fat Merfolk - a list that played green for Chameleon Colossus and Tarmogoyf; he used this strategy to make top 8 at Grand Prix Copenhagen.
